A family of 4 required better connection with a tennis court on site which was the main play area for the two young children together with improved views over Long Bay, Beauty Point. In contrast to the preconceived idea of spatial organisation, this projects locates the bedrooms on the ground floor and the livings elevated to capture the stunning views. The living areas create two light weight pavilions separated by an internal courtyard, which in turn spills onto the existing tennis court. An expansive lawn spreads out from the bedrooms inviting use of the previously unused section of the site and ensures that all rooms have level exit to the garden spaces (and the pool).

Our design process drifts between hand sketches, physical and virtual models and evolves after a collaborative process with our clients, their consultants, designers, and of course the craftsmen who build our designs.
