Shahe is an experienced architect with a sound knowledge of the constraints and opportunities in a variety of projects typologies and has over 20 years experience in all phases of architectural projects: their delivery, from conceptual design & documentation to project procurement & contract administration. Between 2002 and 2010 Shahe, principal at McCormick Simonian Architects, lead design and business development. He has particular interest in community and urban projects and undertook a two year research project investigating, through drawings, the genesis of the planning principles underpinning colonisation and its impact on our cities.
He was fortunate to commence his design education in an interdisciplinary course at UTS, where under the guidance of diverse tutors, students of interior, fashion / textile and industrial design were brought together echoing the Bauhaus’ ‘Foundation Course’. This formative year underpinned his later studies in Architecture and continues to influence his work.
