[Location] The Argyle Cut, was the Colonial Governments most ambitious public project. Designed in 1832 by Edward Hallen (brother of the Colonial Architect Ambrose Hallen) and completed in 1850. The cut was later expanded in 1931 to establish the archway leading to the stairs we are seen in today.
PRACTICE
Zanazan is a dynamic, award winning studio that celebrates 15 years of creative design in 2015. Over this time, our clients and their commissions, have expanded to include a diverse range of projects in hospitality, education, heritage, and multi-residential projects both in NSW and interstate….and of course, we still create beautifully tailored luxury homes.
The studio, a young talented team of professionals, works best under the most challenging of circumstances: difficult sites, integrated and complex briefs, multiple stakeholders, and prescriptive planning controls. This, together with our personal and attentive approach, enables successful partnerships with owners, clients, builders and consultants.
APPROACH
For us, architecture is not an isolated pursuit, we are inspired by literature, people, fashion, art, food and the amazing places around us. Our aim is to develop a rich and layered aesthetic that can reflect this inspiration, providing projects with sustainable outcomes at every budget. We love what we do and value the collaboration of those we work with. Most of all we enjoy the personal experience of crafting design solutions for our diverse clients.
